With the existence of different times for every particle and even consciousnesses, the question if there exists a definite future was answered by Siddhas as fate and got supported by Relativity Theory. The existence of fate reduces the concepts of free will and choices to mere illusions. But, are they?
We understood time as the pace of energy’s momentum, and all the particles in the universe are racing towards disintegration to convert back into energy ever since their formation (although it might take forever), the particles that make up our physical body can be said to follow the same rule. With a definite future waiting for the physical body, the only possible way to alter the course of actions is to pause or stop the flow of psychological time and make a conscious effort to alter its flow through thoughts, emotions and actions.
This has been achieved by Siddhas and Yogis through their meditative processes. Although the physical body’s circadian rhythm can’t be altered, the soul’s time (psychological) can be paused and made to reorient itself in a different path. This is easier said than done, since the physical body is tied to the space-time continuum so firmly that it would seem nearly impossible to change the fates. But, Siddhas and Yogis speak of a way to change the very fate, through sheer wit!
The karma factor and its influence on life energy, acting through time, can be altered by pausing the psychological time. Though ineffective for the past, the future events we can experience can be altered by total consciousness in any given situation, by conscious thoughts and conscious actions. However, the change of future by pausing time has its own repercussions!
The time arrow, even though different for every consciousness, crosses through the time arrows of other consciousnesses too. The interdependence of all the living beings with each other and with the universe makes the flow of time to cross others’ time too. Changes done on the sequence of events of one consciousness affects all the consciousnesses & energy that comes in contact with it in its future.
The possible alteration of futures leads us to the assumption that there maybe not just one but infinite possible futures for any soul! The possible course of flow of the soul, becomes hard to be determined. Our study about the universe points out the possibility of only a single time continuum to exist, the one represented by matter and forces (energy’s momentum levels). But we also know that the psychological time for humans are unique to every individual and a little bit more complex than the cosmological time.
As we know, our minds experience reality through thoughts and emotions. So, the key to changing our futures begins with changing our thoughts and emotions. More commonly known as ‘changing the attitudes’, changing the future involves the change of thoughts, thereby changing the desires, actions, habits, and customs, which result in the gradual change of the present inevitably leads to the change of the future. This process may seem simple and comical to be read, but the amount of change a person’s life undergoes during and by the process is very high!
Each and every second of a person’s life is fixed in the order of events, and while attempting to change the future, the space-time continuum wouldn’t normally allow us to change fate just like that. So, the first step in changing the future involves identifying our place in the order of events and assessing our next possible moves in our lives, or in other words, to calculate our immediate future by completely understanding our present. Usually, a certain amount of potential is used by our physical body to perform a function and enter the future from the present.
Now, if our physical body can gain a little more energy than we usually need, and with the knowledge of what can happen in the next moment, we can think of a new set of choices & events and also execute them at the last second, before we make the already existing choice. These new choices are, however, short in length, that is, we can’t change our entire length of fate (until death) in a single stroke and it doesn’t create a ripple in time.
The change in one second of our future must now be accompanied by a continuous set of changed choices. The choices which we usually don’t take, the ones we ignore, and the ones we are afraid of! Once the stream of events takes a new route, our lives naturally try to get back to the original order of events. This we tend to experience as a ‘distance of mind’ from our lives. Every time life gets far away from the usual order of events; even if it is for a short duration of time (say one minute), it tends to get back to the “normal” state. Upon reaching the order, the future choices must be changed again, thereby starting the fate-changing process once more.
This process (changing the future) needs high precision, and we can seldom notice the changed order of events in our lives. This is because the time involved during the process is in terms of seconds and the net time invested in the whole process might be days or even months! Also, the total energy involved in the process is very high, since we are constantly fighting against the entropy of the universe, which is way too high. So, even a slight change in the next second of our lives might require the entire energy (soul) stored in the physical body to be used up!
This hard process may appear to be pointless when it is done, for we can’t feel the changed futures. The mind assumes the changed futures to be that of the already existing one. But, when looked upon into the past after a long time, the change can be felt, for every event that had followed from the beginning of the fate-changing process couldn’t have been possible in our old fates.
So, changing the futures is possible, but not with our current lifestyles where we expend too much energy through overthinking (and over-reacting). What we need is a focused mind, the one with the thoughts only of the alternate choices.
Now comes a paradox, what if the changed future is the actual future we were destined for?
